ond well to many synthetic ingredients and even a good amount of natural ones!) i also wanted something that is moisturizing enough to keep my dry bits happy and my oily areas tricked into thinking they don’t need to make more oil, all with a finish that doesn’t make me look too shiny (nor too matte) as I prefer not to wear any foundation. Protini fits the bill exactly - it’s a gel cream consistency and has a nice satin finish on the skin. Totally daytime appropriate (for those of us who don’t wear foundation, anyway!) which can be hard to find while still being a good-for-the-Skin item (versus a makeup item). I do find that I need more moisture at night than Protini alone can provide (so I mix in some lala then), but this is more than enough in the day :). Anyways...I’ve been using Protini for around a month now if my calculations are correct, and I am currently experiencing the best skin of my life! It seems to have plumped and smoothed my skin and helped immensely with my texture. My pores aren’t clogged and I’m not breaking out, and perhaps one of the craziest things is that a few milla spots that have been on my face for a year are finally starting to dissipate one by one! Also Protini works well around the eyes and does’t appear to be causing more millia on my eyelids or undereyes, which is something I have to worry about with many other eye creams. Using Protini in conjunction with many of the other DE products (b-hydra, c-firma, and Protini in the day - and in the night, tlc/b-hydra mixed with Protini/LaLa mix layered on top, and then a bit of marula patted on top of everything) was really the icing on the cake to really get exactly what I wanted out of my skincare. Also, since I’ve finally collected enough DE products to try using *only* these products, I’ve slowly been able to identify what ingredients in other non DE products were making my skin so insanelt sensitive and reactive to what seemed like everything (until I met Drunk Elephant, that is). Rose, for example, was in a ton of other products I used and I’ve finally figured out I am super allergic to it. It gave me horrible breakouts and rashes all over my face, so bad I thought maybe I had rosacea for a while. None of the DE products have rose (I confirmed this with one of their lovely customer service reps!), so after paying crazy attention to ingredients I was able to finally eliminate any and all products containing rose and finally my skin doesn’t seem like it’s in a constant state of dispair. Finally my skincare is working and making my skin look better and better instead of a few days better and then immediantly downhill and back to square one. I thought that was my eternal struggle, but no. Drunk elephant products gave me the opportunity to be using clean safe products that for once aren’t furthering the irritation of my skin. If you read up on a lot of DE’s philosophy one thing they say a lot is that many of us don’t actually have sensitive skin, we have SENSITIZED skin due to all of these sketchy ingredients used in the majority of skincare products, affordable, luxury, and even natural products! In my quest to remove anything sensitizing from my deluxe-sample-heavy skincare collection I found questionable ingredients in everything! One luxury cream in particular, one that is extremely expensive and rhymes with “ma her” I wouldn’t even use on my feet! Many luxury brands have little different to their formulas than the affordable brands, except maybe some fancy fragrances (which have absolutely NO place in skincare!!) or cool packaging. And the “natural” brands often use some highly sensitizing essential oils in concentrations we will never know, they’re liable to have extremely short shelf lives, and often they can be nowhere near as “natural” as they seem. Drunk Elephant is a pretty cool brand - unlike all these other brands they’re not trying to be strictly natural or strictly clinical or strictly this that the other, they’re just gonna give you great skin. They don’t use bad ingredients, nothing that’s going to be bad for the skin (unless you have a very specific allergy I would assume) and I absolutely LOVE that they have an ingredient blacklist! Drunk elephant is just doing it right, so right that I’m amazed how wrong every other company got it. It’s kind of absurd that there’s this one in a million company and I feel like they’re the only one I can trust - cause thus far, I’ve tried almost everything and while it’s not ALL my favorite, most of it is, and nothing is bad, nothing has made my skin reactive, all has made my skin better, and that’s much more than I can say for any other company out there today. Drunk elephant has won my heart, opened my eyes, and made me skeptical of every other skincare brand. Lol! Read Less

ng! I must say she provided yet another “on point” recommendation and I recently placed my second order for all of “The Bigs.” :) I am 3 months shy of turning 51 and completely agree with Drunk Elephant’s founding statement that this skin care program has no boundaries pertaining to either age or skin types. It’s a winner for all of us, so big thanks to Jodi Marie and Drunk Elephant for saying what you mean and meaning what you say while also providing “proof in the pudding” and reaching such a broad range of lifespan. From my recollection, this is only the 2nd time in my 50+ years that I’ve ever taken the time to share my reviewing thoughts, but D.E. is most certainly worthy of this special, out of the ordinary praise! I love, love it all and wish you much continued, great success!
Sincerely,

he reviews alone made me jump in head first! I bought almost everything in the line and no breakouts for this lifetime acne prone gal! The Framboos was the standout for me immediately. I mix it with the marula oil each night and top it with Lala and I had my OMG moment. Within 2 days, I had smooth skin again with no flakiness anywhere. I still can’t believe it. Buy it! I’m a DE gal for life! Read Less
